The ocean just off shore of Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale makes for some of the finest sport fishing available anywhere in the world. And the boat ride from the dock to the fishing grounds is just minutes, not hours, away. A mere mile from shore and virtually anything can be caught within this short distance. We are usually within 2 miles of shore for 90% of our fishing trips. This is because that’s where the fish are! Fishing here offers anglers many different types and styles of fishing and draws anglers from all across America and the world. The Ft Lauderdale fishing grounds are rich in marine resources and these waters often produce abundant catches of Sailfish, Swordfish, Sharks and most of the popular big game fish. Big game is just one aspect of the fishing here in Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood. Fishing the bottom can produce abundant catches of Snapper, Amberjack, Cobia and Grouper. Trolling offers Dolphin (Mahi-mahi), Wahoo, Tuna, even the occasional Sailfish on the troll, however live bait fishing is the best way to catch the Sailfish here.
